LONDON � Brit funding org. the U.K. Film Council has announced the launch of the Production Company Vision Awards, a new funding initiative designed to support creative production shingles.

Part of the UKFC�s development fund, the Vision Awards will offer as may as 10 production companies up to $300,000 (�150,000) in coin over two years to enable them to develop feature projects.

�We want to provide a supportive arena for creative producers with forward thinking U.K. production companies, who have a clear vision and commitment to U.K. film,� commented UKFC development fund topper Tanya Seghatchian.

Production companies will be required to show evidence of previous success in feature film production, as well as detail their original thinking in a vision statement, in order to be eligible for the coin.

The new funding stream will be an additional source of coin for producers alongside the development fund�s existing two funding channels.
