The start-up, backed by former Endemol chief creative officer Peter Bazalgette, will reformat All3Media International's catalogue in short form and distribute the content to web, IPTV and mobile publishers.
Initial programs covered by the deal include documentary series “Guarding the Queen,” produced by All3Media-owned Lion Television for ITV.
Run by Ashley Mackenzie, the son of Wireless Group chairman and former Sun editor Kelvin Mackenzie, myvideorights.com launched in March to tap into the growing demand for video content on the web.
Commenting on the deal Mackenzie said: “Whilst the music industry is going through massive upheaval thanks to the digital revolution, there is no reason why the TV industry should suffer the same fate. Digital consumption’s explosive growth will only continue and we believe producers should embrace it now.”
Louise Pedersen, managing director of All3Media International, added: “This deal enables us to fully exploit all our program rights. Our decision to partner with myvideorights.com is a step towards ensuring control of where our content will be published and in what context.”
Other content partners signed up with the company include Film & General Productions, Guinness World Record TV and extreme sports specialists Black Diamond.
