'Boy' takes ride to San Sebastian

Concentration camp drama to screen at fest

LISBON -- Mark Herman's "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas," a U.K./U.S. co-production distributed by Buena Vista/Disney, will be presented in the Official Selection, out of competition, at this year's San Sebastian Film Festival (Sept. 18-27).

The film's crew will attend the fest's international premiere, following local premieres in London and Dublin.

The concentration camp drama, starring David Thewlis, Vera Farmiga, Rupert Friend and Asa Butterfield, is based on John Boyne's bestselling 2006 novel, which has sold more than 3 million copies to date.
