Walsh will pen the screenplay as an action thriller that revolves around a New York doctor who travels to Mumbai, India, for a friend's funeral and meets an Indian fortune-teller who identifies him as the man who will bring about the apocalypse.
Gotham Chopra, Virgin Comics' founder, chief creative officer and editor-in-chief, will produce along with Virgin Comics CEO Sharad Devarajan.
"Mining the great mysteries and mythologies of India and nurturing them into fresh films for the world to see has become what we're known for at Virgin Comics," Chopra said.
