Namur fest finds Meier's 'Home'

Meier's feature debut tells the story of a French family's attempt to cling to a quiet rural life despite a new expressway cutting across its back yard. Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet play the besieged parents.
Pic world preemed in Critics' Week at Cannes in May, and has been picked up locally by Benelux Film Distributors.
Huppert will be the Namur fest's guest of honor, giving a public interview on opening weekend.
A mini-retrospective chosen by the thesp will take in films from Claude Goretta's "La dentelliere" (The Lacemaker) from 1976, to Joachim Lafosse's "Nue propriete" (Private Property) from 2006.
Fest's full program will be announced Sept. 4.
