Benderspink nabs pic rights to 'ZMD'

Project revolves around a government weapons program that drops photosensitive zombies into war zones at night to destroy the enemy population. When one of these zombies somehow escapes in the Middle East, a team of elite soldiers must enter hostile territory to stop a growing zombie army.
Red 5 Comics recently began publishing "ZMD." Publisher also has a film adaptation of "Afterburn" set up with Neal Moritz to produce.
Grevioux is also an actor and will next appear in the third installment of the "Underworld" franchise, "Rise of the Lycans," next year.
Benderspink, which will have a booth at Comic-Con in San Diego later this week, will produce the project. Company is also set to produce "Y: The Last Man" and "Drafted" at New Line, "Pencilneck" at Lionsgate and "Pet Robots" at Disney, all based on comicbooks or graphic novels.
