Born in Hood River, Ore. and raised in Miami, Okla., he moved to New York after earning a graduate degree from the U. of Tulsa.
He started his career at Seven Arts in 1965 and later moved to California when Seven Arts bought Warner Bros. He retired from Warner Bros. in 2002 after 37 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian, a son and a sister.
