Born in Plainfield, N.J., he most recently served as a post production executive at Modern Videofilm. He held this position for the past 10 years, overseeing post production on hundreds of film and TV projects. Recent highlights include "John Adams," "Desperate Housewives" and Woody Allen's "Match Point."
Prior to Modern Videofilm, Reid spent 18 years at HBO where he served in both production and post production capacities. While at HBO, he oversaw production or post-production on comedy specials, scripted series and live shows including "Tales from the Crypt," "Dream On," "The Larry Sanders Show" and "Vietnam War Stories." He was particularly proud of his work on "61*," the film about Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle.
Reid graduated from Ithaca College and moved to California, transferring from HBO New York, in 1981.
He is survived by his wife Roberta, two sons and a brother.
