Woodstock to honor Wexler

Cinematographer gets lifetime achievement kudo

The Woodstock Film Festival will honor cinematographer Haskell Wexler with its first lifetime achievement award.

Wexler's career spans more than 50 films. He won Oscars for lensing "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and "Bound for Glory" and was also nominated for "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Matewan" and "Blaze."

Fest runs Oct. 1-5.
