There was no immediate word about the substance of meeting. AMPTP issued a statement shortly after 6 p.m. asserting that "both parties agreed that the contents of the meeting should be kept private." Majors also said that no further meetings have been skedded.
AMPTP and SAG have been in a stalemate for more than a week, ever since the majors handed SAG what it terms its final offer for a new three-year contract. It's expected that AMPTP brass repeated their request in today's powwow for SAG to send that final offer to the guild's 120,000 members for a vote.
