Regent on top of 'World'

Film unit grabs rights to drama

In their second pickup at L.A.'s Outfest, Here Films/Regent Releasing has grabbed North American rights to Shamim Sarif's drama "The World Unseen." Set in 1950s South Africa, pic is about a dangerous relationship between two women during the new apartheid-led government. Regent will release the film in this fall.

Noting that "The World Unseen" was written, produced and financed entirely by women, Regent's Mark Reinhart said, "This kind of deeply felt drama represents what the Here brand stands for in supporting stories by and for women."
