ACE Edit Fest to take place Aug. 8-9

Egyptian Theater, Universal to host panels

The inaugural American Cinema Editors Edit Fest seminar will take place Aug. 8-9 in Hollywood and Universal City. The two-day event engages participants in a series of panels dealing with the art and business of film editing.

Hollywood's Egyptian Theater and Universal Studios will serve as venues for the panel discussions. Topics include animation editing, television editing and editing for comedies. Film editors taking part in the discussions include Mark Helfrich ("X-Men," "Rush Hour 3"), Michael Tronick ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith") and Greg Featherman ("Entourage").
