ASCAP taps 12 for workshop

Richard Bellis to helm program

ASCAP has selected 12 aspiring composers to participate in the 20th annual ASCAP Television and Film Scoring Workshop. Richard Bellis will helm the monthlong program.

The workshop will feature lectures from a series of music industry professionals including Warner Bros. president of music operations Doug Frank, Emmy-winning composer John Debney and music editor Jeff Carson. Participants will attend lectures, seminars and hands-on film scoring training sessions

Chosen from an applicant pool that totaled in the hundreds, this year's workshop participants are Marc Baril, Eric Hachikian, Jaebon Hwang, Jeff Kryka, Adam Langston, Patrick Murray, Sascha Peres, Ana Rice, Luke Richards, Tilman Ritter, Austin Wintory and Gerrit Wunder.
