Here Films acquires 'Breakfast'

NHL officially sanctions gay-themed film

'Breakfeast with Scot'

The Laurie Lynd-directed 'Breakfast With Scot' will kick off Outfest 2008 and go out through Regent Releasing in the fall.

Here Films has acquired the rights to "Breakfast With Scot." Pic is officially sanctioned by both the NHL and Toronto Maple Leafs, marking the first time a professional sports league has allowed its logos and uniforms to be used in a gay-themed movie.

"Scot" has been selected to open Outfest 2008 and Here sister company Regent Releasing plans to release the film sometime this fall.

Story concerns Eric (Tom Cavanagh) an ex-NHL hockey player-turned-sportscaster and his partner Sam (Ben Shenkman), who wind up with temporary custody of a recently orphaned boy named Scot (Noah Bernett). Paul Brown produced; Nadine Schiff exec produced.
