Fuse lights up originals

Network sets trio for upcoming slate

Music cable net Fuse has ignited production of three original series slated to premiere in the fourth quarter.

"Redemption Song" will feature 10 women "down on their luck" competing in "outlandish music-related challenges" to get a record deal and their own musicvid played on Fuse. "Rock Bottom," meanwhile, will follow up-and-coming bands as they stage interventions for troubled members. And "Tour Me a New One" will feature comic Nate Jackson traveling to the "far-flung musical corners of the Earth" in search of "the world's most interesting, entertaining and devoted music fans."

The Cablevision-owned network also set premiere dates for two previously announced studio shows. Music-themed dating skein "You Rock, Let's Roll" will bow Monday at 6 p.m. ET, while music/pop-culture roundtable series "The Weekly Riff" will launch July 25 at 11 p.m. ET.
