Delouche for Lincoln fest

New series launches July 23 27

The Lincoln Center Festival will offer "Dominique Delouche: Ballet Cineaste," a new series of screenings highlighting the French filmmaker's career, July 23-27 at the Walter Reade Theater.

Seven features spanning almost 45 years will unspool.

Helmer is known for his ballet portraits and early collaborations with Federico Fellini.

"Markova, la legende" (2001) will open the series, and 1988's "Katia et Volodia" closes it. Fellini's "Nights in Cabiria," for which Delouche assisted, will also be featured, as well as 1981 Cannes selection "Yvette Chauvire: Une etoile pour l'exemple," and Delouche's 1968 feature debut, "24 Hours in the Life of a Woman."
