EMI to orchestrate for Welk Music

Group includes Vanguard, Sugar Hill, Ranwood

EMI Music will handle worldwide sales and distribution for digital and physical product of independent record company Welk Music Group, which includes the folk and bluegrass labels Vanguard, Sugar Hill and Ranwood.

Financial details were not disclosed, but EMI will also provide licensing and synchronization services on a nonexclusive basis to Welk's roster of artists, among them Mindy Smith, Levon Helm, Joan Baez, Kasey Chambers, the Gibson Brothers, Nickel Creek and Buddy Guy.
