Project revolves around a successful female attorney who suffers from bipolar illness. Show, like the book, will be based on Cheney's own life as a lawyer on the fast track who endured dark impulses while hiding her condition from her employer, even as it began to consume her life.
Janet Tamaro is set to create the pilot and will exec produce; Gavin Polone is also attached as an exec producer. Cheney will serve as a consulting producer on the project.
Tamaro's credits include "Lost" and the mini "Sleeper Cell," "Bones," "CSI: NY" and "Tell Me You Love Me" (which Polone also exec produced). Tamaro was also an ABC News correspondent.
