Richards will oversee the marketing and promotions of the company's pay-per-view events, such as WrestleMania, considered to be the WWE's biggest moneymakers year-round.
She will also handle promos for the company's subscription-based video-on-demand service, WWE 24/7 On Demand. "The Legends of Wrestling," the service's first original series, bowed in June.
In 2008, WWE will televise 14 PPV events and an additional 12 WWE Presents pay-per-view specials.
"WrestleMania 24" was purchased by more than 1 million viewers worldwide and in March became the highest-grossing live event in the company's history.
Richards joined WWE in 2004 as affiliate sales director of the Western region.
