Actress joins Daniel Radcliff Broadway revival

Kate Mulgrew will join Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths in the Broadway revival of “Equus,” opening Sept. 25 at the Broadhurst Theater following previews that begin Sept. 5.

Transferring to New York after a hit London run, the production of Peter Shaffer’s Tony-winning 1974 psychological drama about a disturbed stable hand who blinds six horses was directed by Thea Sharrock. The Shubert Organization is producing on Broadway.

Best known for her long-running starring role on “Star Trek: Voyager,” Mulgrew will play court magistrate Heather Saloman. She has appeared Off Broadway during the past two seasons in “Our Leading Lady,” “Iphigenia 2.0” and Edward Albee’s “The American Dream” and “The Sandbox.”
