Dinner of Champions raises funds to help with research and services that the National MS Society supports. Last year, the event raised $2.5 million.
The dinner is sponsored by the Southern California Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which serves 14,500 people living in the greater Los Angeles area.
Byron Allen, Joe Roth and Tom Sherak will serve as the 2008 Dinner chairs. Robert Iger, prexy-CEO of the Walt Disney Corp. and Dick Cook of Walt Disney Studios are honorary chairs.
"Walt Disney Pictures has been a generous supporter of the National MS Society for more than a decade," Sherak said. "We're very proud to honor Oren Aviv and Disney for helping us move closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis."
