Roadside Attractions has nabbed world rights to Show Dog Productions' "Beer for My Horses," written, produced and starring country singer Toby Keith. Directed by Michael Salomon, road trip story tracks two local deputies who defy the sheriff to save a girlfriend from drug lord kidnappers.

Roadside will release the film domestically on Aug 8, with Lionsgate handling international and all domestic ancillary rights. Pic is produced by Donald Zuckerman with exec producers TK Kimbrell, Jeff Yapp and Leslie Belzberg.
