At a pre-trial status meeting on Thursday, the trial date was moved to Oct. 14 in response to both parties' requests for another postponement.
Univision had originally asked for a week's delay from the July 1 date. Televisa counterproposed a shift to September. The jury trial has been moved several times, most recently from April 29.
At stake is a 25-year programming supply agreement that gives Univision rights to Televisa's ratings-winning telenovelas. Televisa wants to end the pact before its 2017 expiration, accusing Univision of a material breach of contract.
Televisa had also requested an extra 40 hours to its allotted testimony time of 25 hours given its 60 witnesses. However, the judge has insisted that both parties comply with the original 25 hours per side.
The delay could give the companies a greater chance to settle out of court.
Litigation has been troublesome for Univision's owners, a consortium of private equity investors led by media baron Haim Saban, which acquired Univision for $13.7 billion (including a debt of $1.4 billion) in 2006.
