Oswaks spearheads all tubthumping and media relations for Sony's roster of network, cable and syndie skeins, as well as its growing portfolio of made-for-Internet programs.
In announcing the promotion, SPT prexy Steve Mosko praised Oswaks' skills as a marketer and credited him with helping the TV division develop fruitful partnerships with Sony Electronics, the home entertainment unit and other divisions in the conglom.
Oswaks, a syndie biz vet, joined SPT forerunner Columbia TriStar Television Distribution in May 2000 as exec veep of marketing.
In conjunction with Oswaks' promotion, Sony has given VP promotions to two other marketing execs: Chris Van Amburg oversees digital and mobile marketing for the TV studio; Rachel Mizuno oversees affiliate marketing for SPT's syndie programming.
