HOLLYWOOD -- After a five-year break from live-action comedy,
Mike Myers marked his return to the bigscreen at Paramount's premiere of "The Love Guru" on June 11.
Joining him at the Chinese Theater bow were co-stars
Justin Timberlake, Verne Troyer and
Romany Malco as well as Par execs
Brad Weston,
Gerry Rich and
Rob Moore.
In addition to producing and co-writing the film with
Graham Gordy, Myers stars as Guru Pitka, a character he's been performing since 1994.
The film marks the feature directing debut of
Marco Schnabel, who worked his way up from
Jay Roach's assistant to second unit director on "Austin Powers in Goldmember."
"The filmmaking process is a dialogue, and Marco has been part of that dialogue for a while now," Myers said. "I'd been looking for the chance to work with him for forever, and he knocked it out of the park."
