The novel, which Random House will publish in October, focuses on a thirtysomething housewife who gets a chance to go back in time to eliminate the lingering doubts about what might have happened had she not settled down.
The project reunites Poster with Harvey Weinstein. She served as longtime Miramax prexy of production and shepherded such films as "Emma," "The Cider House Rules," "Chocolat" and "Cold Mountain." Poster signed a first-look deal at NBC Universal in 2005, and after U passed on the book, she showed it to TWC senior veep Kelly Carmichael and made a deal.
"This is a realistic fairy tale that speaks to women today," Poster told Daily Variety. Poster found the novel in manuscript form in October. She has been working on projects and consulting for NBC Studios and Bravo, and she is teamed with Jason Blum to produce "My Korean Deli," a comedy by Pierce Gardner ("Dan in Real Life").
Novel is the second for the author, whose debut, "The Department of Lost and Found," was published by HarperCollins in 2007.
