Register will oversee all development and production for the studio's toon wing, which aims to reinvigorate its operations to produce series and other content for TV, online and direct-to-video platforms. Register reports to Roth, and will also work closely with the Warner Premiere direct-to-DVD division.
Register has been in the Warner Bros. Animation fold since November, when he signed a wide-ranging development and production pact with the division (Daily Variety, Nov. 28). He previously spent 10 years as an exec and producer at Cartoon Network.
Register also created the Cartoon Net skeins "Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi" and "Star Wars: Clone Wars," and he is an exec producer on the cabler's newcomer "Ben 10."
