Fox falls for Buxbaum novel

'The Opposite of Love' to be penned by Holden

Twentieth Century Fox has optioned Julie Buxbaum's debut novel "The Opposite of Love." Kara Holden is set to pen the feature adaptation.

Pic will be produced by Tapestry Films' Andrew Panay, Peter Abrams and Robert Levy. Tapestry's Michael Schreiber will exec produce.

"Love" revolves around a successful 29-year-old Manhattan attorney whose penchant for running away from commitment prompts her to end a relationship just before her boyfriend proposes. The novel was published by Dial Press in January.

"This is such a fresh look at the hilarious and heartbreaking struggle of how to love and accept love," said Holden, whose credits include New Line's "Intervention," Warner Bros.' "Home School" and DreamWorks' "Opal." She also wrote the pilot "Take Two" for the Fox network.
