Directed by Adam Salky and scripted by David Brind, the film is about three privileged high school seniors who decide they can no longer ignore their deepest needs and take the biggest risk of their lives. Others in the cast include Ashley Springer, Ana Gasteyer, Alan Cumming, Sandra Bernhard, Rooney Mara and Cady Huffman.
Salky and Brind based the feature on their award-winning short film made while in the Columbia MFA program. The short is also titled "Dare."

Rossum recently completed "Dragonball" opposite Chow Yun-fat.
