Gonzo plays new game with Tomy

Duo pact for online content

TOKYO -- Online gamer Gonzo Rosso, a subsid of toon house GDH, has linked with toymaker Tomy to co-produce and market online game content.

As part of the deal, announced on Monday, Tomy will take a 15.4% capital stake in Gonzo Rosso, leaving parent GDH with a 54.56% share.

Tomy, whose properties include the Licca doll line, Tomica die-cast vehicles and the Time Bokan toon series, plans to develop online games with Gonzo Rosso for the domestic and world markets, using Gonzo Rosso international sales subsids in Taiwan and Malaysia.

Gonzo Rosso develops and operates online games, including "Master of Epic --The Resonance Age Universe," "Shaiya -- Light and Darkness," "Pandora Saga" and the "Tower of Druaga -- the Recovery of Babylim."
