"It's so good to be home where sex belongs," said pic's writer-director Michael Patrick King.
A sudden downpour just as guests were arriving at Radio City Music Hall failed to dampen spirits, as thousands of female fans flocked to catch a glimpse of their favorite foursome. Luckily, the rain stopped as suddenly as it started, which King attributed to his mother.
"My Irish-Catholic mother sat at the window of her hotel and prayed to God all day saying, 'Dear Jesus, please don't let it rain on my son's big sex party.' "
King also showered love on New Line, saying, "They are a venerable, rebellious and artistic group."
As for the chance of more sex with a second pic, producer Darren Star would only say, "Anything's possible."
Sipping cosmos at the Museum of Modern Art after-party were pic's Jennifer Hudson, Mario Cantone, Jason Lewis, Chris Noth and David Eigenberg, as well as Jeffrey Bewkes, Daniel Battsek, Joan Allen, Donald Trump and Katie Couric.
