Grandsire joins NBCU in France

Exec takes Global Networks role

PARIS — NBC Universal has further expanded its international channels team by naming Leonor Grandsire in the newly created role of managing director of NBC Universal Global Networks France, effective immediately.

Grandsire spent over a decade in senior management at private TV network TF1 before becoming head of internet strategy at Sacem, the society of music authors, composers and publishers in France, in December 2007.

She will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and driving growth initiatives in France to support NBCU Global Networks’ strategy for rapidly accelerating its international channel roll-out.

Grandsire will report to Francois Roux, NBCU Global Networks managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Last week, NBCU appointed former Disney exec Natalie Gee to the newly created position of Global Networks creative director for its Asia Pacific division.

Earlier in May, former Fox International channels exec Martina Irusta became senior vice president of programming and acquisitions at NBCU Global Networks’ London headquarters.
