Dan Ligtvoet to lead MTV Germany

Ligtvoet, who replaces the outgoing Catherine Muehlemann in June, will expand his current duties as exec VP and managing director of MTV Networks North and report directly to MTVN Intl. prexy Robert Bakish.
Ligtvoet has headed MTV Networks Benelux since 2002 and expanded his roll in 2007 to include the Nordic region, managing MTV Networks’ operations in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands.
He has overseen the start of MTVN channels in Benelux, including Comedy Central and tyke music web Nick Hits in Holland as well as new Nick channels in the Nordic region, where he’ll also supervise the launch of Comedy Central in 2009.
