Liberation grabs 'Robbery' for U.K.

Heist thriller sold by AV Pictures

LONDON — Liberation Entertainment has snapped up U.K. rights to writer-director Paris Leonti’s heist thriller “Daylight Robbery” from U.K.-based sales agent AV Pictures.

Pic, which stars Leo Gregory, Geoff Bell, Paul Nicholls, Vas Blackwood, and Shaun Williamson, is about a group of England soccer fans who, using the 2006 World Cup in Germany as their cover, plan a bank heist. Nick O’Hagen of Giant Films produces.

London and L.A.-based Liberation has recently released “Wristcutters — A Love Story” and “Protégé” theatrically in the U.K.
