The agreement covers all forms of digital distribution, including VOD, electronic sell-through and mobile. Programming will be made available via a number of partners, including download providers, mobile carriers and in-home device manufactures.
DIC has one of the world’s largest animation libraries, including “Inspector Gadget,” “Horseland,” “Sonic the Hedgehog” and “Super Mario Bros.” It also programs the CBS Saturday morning children’s block “Kewlopolis.”
The deal follows the February bow of DIC’s own online video channel, kewlcartoons.com, which offers free streaming of series from its library.
