TORONTO -- Tom Gustafson's high-school fantasy-musical-comedy "Were the World Mine" nabbed the audience award for feature on Sunday at the 18th Inside Out Toronto Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival.

Pic is Gustafson's feature directorial debut and is based on his 2003 short "Fairies," which played 75 festivals.

Inside Out auds voted Canadian Gwen Haworth "She's A Boy I Knew" best doc. The film also picked up an honorable mention from the jury for best Canadian feature-length narrative or documentary. The winner in the category was Tanaz Eshaghian's U.S.-Canada-Iran co-production "Be Like Others."
