Rosen assumes Huffington post

Ex-Recording Ind. CEO named political director

Hilary Rosen, the former chair-CEO of the Recording Industry Assn. of America, has been named political director and Washington editor-at-large of the Huffington Post.

Rosen will coordinate coverage of the upcoming national conventions and act as a liaison with elected officials and congressional leaders.

Arianna Huffington said in a statement that Rosen will take "HuffPost's political coverage to the next level." The website has been covering the campaign with a combination of professional writers and citizen journalists and bloggers.

Rosen served for 17 years at the RIAA before retiring in 2003. She has been an adviser to Democratic candidates and a lobbyist on behalf of LGBT and AIDS issues. She's also a partner in Berman Rosen Global Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in intellectual property policy.
