Music biz’s biggest kudocast has been set for Sunday, Feb. 8, to be broadcast by CBS. Announcement was made by Neil Portnow, president-CEO of the Recording Academy, and Jack Sussman, exec VP of specials at CBS.
Last year’s awards on CBS earned a 6.5 rating/16 share in adults 18-49 for the network, with 17.1 million viewers overall. Like most kudocasts, numbers have been in decline over the past few years.
This year’s Grammy nominations will be announced Dec. 4.
The Grammy ceremony has been held in L.A. at Staples Center since 2000, except for 2003 when ceremony relocated to Madison Square Garden.
