Flower to grow 'Queen' sales

Company sells teen telenovela

BUENOS AIRES -- Argentina's The Latin Flower Co. will sell musical teen telenovela "The Queen of the Song" internationally and expand merchandizing to include CDs, live shows and mobile content.

Produced by Felix Marin, the 150-hour telenovela is still in production.

Marin has produced live theater productions of "101 Dalmatians" and tours of David Copperfield and Earth, Wind and Fire in Argentina and Brazil.

Latin Flower, run by Silvana D'Angelo, bowed at Mip TV in Cannes in April.

Its catalog includes content from Argentine producers Underground Contenidos, Pampa Films and RGB Entertainment as well as Uruguay's Teledoce and Colombia's Invento, a joint venture of FremantleMedia and Colombian producer Teleset.

In April, Montreal-based Distraction tapped Latin Flower to rep its formats and ready-to-air content in South America.
