The E3 million ($4.8 million) project toplines Spain's Unax Ugalde and Germany's Nora Tschirner ("Rabbit Without Ears"). Spanish first-timer David Pinillos will direct.
"Bon Appetit" turns on three young cooks from different European countries who work in a Swiss avant-garde restaurant.
Spain's Morena Films and Orio Produkzioak, Germany's Egoli Tossell and Switzerland's Zodiac Pictures co-produce. Pic is also backed by Eurimages fund.
"Appetit" rolls in October for eight weeks in Northern Spain, Switzerland and Germany.
In a parallel move, Morena, co-producer of Steven Soderbergh's Che Guevara pics, has teamed with France's Mandarin Films on another European comedy, "Neon Flesh," with Spanish actors Victoria Abril and Oscar Jaenada.
"Flesh" will be helmed by Spain's Paco Cabezas, whose directorial debut, horror film "The Appeared," was sold by ThinkFilm to more than 20 territories, including a U.S. pickup by IFC.
"If you have a talented director, horror is not the only Spanish-language genre that can travel across borders," said Morena producer Juan Gordon.
The $5.8 million mother-son love story is also co-produced by Sweden's Hepp Films and Swedish regional fund Film i Vast along with Spain's Jaleo Films, De Palacio, Vaca Films and Oberon Cinematografica.
Filming starts in November for 10 weeks.
