'Together' to open AFI's Silverdocs

Festival will close with 'Theater of War'

Adrian Wills' "All Together Now" will open Silverdocs, AFI's documentary-centered fest in Silver Spring, Md.

Pic chronicles the collaboration between the surviving members of the Beatles and Cirque du Soleil for the stage production of "Love."

Fest will close with another behind-the-scenes doc, John Walter's "Theater of War," which follows George C. Wolfe's outdoor performance of "Mother Courage and Her Children," starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline.

Fest also announced that Spike Lee will be honored at the Charles Guggenheim Symposium for "artistic excellence and profound respect for humanity and democratic values." Lee's doc work includes "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts," "4 Little Girls" and "We Wuz Robbed."

Silverdocs runs June 16-21.
