With offices in Beverly Hills, Calif., Omega is a production, financing and sales company that will rep several titles at the Cannes.
Wright, former VP of distribution at Myriad Pictures, will be responsible for Omega’s international sales operations, as well as head up the Los Angeles office.
Omega prexy Peter Rogers will continue to oversee all sales, financing and production activities, but will focus more on production.
At Cannes, Wright will rep the international rights for titles including laffer “Little Green Comedy,” based on Christopher Buckley’s bestselling tome, and thriller “Heartless,” toplining Jim Sturgess (“21”) and Clemence Poesy (“In Bruges”). Helmer Phillip Ridley begins shooting “Heartless” early next month.
Omega hopes to announce the cast of “Little Green Comedy,” to be directed by Whit Stillman, at Cannes.
