Seven Arts sets film slate

Christensen rumored to star in 'Neuromancer'

Peter Hoffman's Seven Arts Pictures, new financing in hand, is bringing a slate of pics to sell at Cannes, led by William Gibson's adaptation of his cyberpunk sci-fi classic "Neuromancer," which was first announced at last year's fest. Director Joseph Kahn is set to direct the $60 million production, which is produced by Julia Verdin. Hayden Christensen was rumored to star, but Seven Arts will confirm the film's casting shortly.

Seven Arts is in pre-production on the horror film "Catwalk," about a supermodel serial murderer. Anthony Hickox ("Waxwork" and "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth") will direct; he just completed the suspense thriller "Knife Edge," also for sale in the Cannes market by Seven Arts. The company acquired rights to the New Orleans-set action thriller "Mad," from action actor-director Michael Jai White.

Seven Arts recently wrapped the psychological thriller "Nine Miles Down," starring Adrian Paul ("Highlander") and Kate Nauta, directed by Anthony Waller ("An American Werewolf in Paris") and produced by Thomas Hedman.
