'Eloise' finds a young pal in Paris

Coudray cast in Shyer's bigscreen adaptation

LONDON -- French moppet thesp Marcus Vigneron Coudray has joined the cast of Charles Shyer's "Eloise in Paris," a bigscreen adaptation of the 1950s children's novel series by Kay Thompson starring Uma Thurman.

In HandMade Films' pic Aussie newcomer Jordana Beatty plays precocious six-year-old Eloise who travels from New York to Paris with her English nanny (Thurman). Vigneron Coudray, 11, plays Jean-Luc, a French boy Eloise befriends.  

Vigneron Coudray recently starred alongside Gerard Depardieu in Nicolas Bary's "Les Enfants de Timpelbach" and has appeared in several French theater productions.
