Under the deal, Dick Clark Prods. will continue to produce the Academy of Country Music Awards, which it has done for 29 years. In addition, the two sides will collaborate on developing and producing country music-themed programming.
Dick Clark Prods. prexy Orly Adelson said the relationship provides "unprecedented access to country music artists, managers and fans."
Company, which has been in business with the Academy of Country Music since 1979, holds the exclusive right to produce, broadcast and distribute the group's awards show, as well as related events and programs.
"It's a natural fit for us to join forces with Dick Clark Prods. to meet the growing demand for country television programming," said Bob Romeo, executive director of the org.
This year's kudocast airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS. Dick Clark Prods. also produces the Golden Globe Awards, the American Music Awards and "So You Think You Can Dance."
