Roberts, a Brit who came to GSN in August 2006 after 10 years at Sky Networks, immediately signed a production deal with GSN, where he was responsible for helping the net become more interactive with its viewing audience. He created original shows such as "Grand Slam" and the soon-to-launch "Catch-21."
A new senior VP of programming has not been named and no timetable has been set.
"I have enjoyed my time at GSN and am delighted to continue my work with my colleagues in the new venture," Roberts said. "I've been itching to get back to producing and have been thinking about making the switch for some time."
