Story centers on a female journalist who is assigned to investigate a series of bizarre murders and discovers that the victims were all being treated by the head of an org that researches alien abductions.
John Salvati penned the screenplay.
The film will be produced by Inferno's Bill Johnson alongside Dave Alpert and Lawrence Mattis of Circle of Confusion. Inferno's Jim Seibel exec produces with Dave Engel.
Inferno will be handling international sales for the pic beginning next week at the Cannes Film Festival.
McTeigue is currently helming Warner Bros.' "Ninja Assassin," which is being produced by the Wachowski Brothers. Johnson and Seibel formed Inferno Distribution, a production, financing and sales outfit, in 2002. Their upcoming projects include a remake of "The Women" and Lasse Hallstrom's "Hachiko: A Dog's Story," which are in post-production.
In addition, the company has tapped Pamela Pickering prexy of international sales and distribution and Tracee Stanley head of development and production.
