Chunghwa takes ITV package

Series offered on VOD service

HONG KONG — Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom has scooped up more than 300 hours of high definition programming from Granada International, the content sales arm of U.K. commercial broadcaster ITV.

Shows include dramas "My Boy Jack," "Murdoch Mysteries," "Durham County" and "Ballet Shoes"; factual skeins "Planet Science" and "Brainiac"; and three series of "Agatha Christie’s Poirot."

All skeins will be made available as video-on-demand offerings on Chunghwa's IPTV-VOD service, Multimedia-On-Demand.

Multimedia-On-Demand has 450,000 subscribers.
