With newly minted drivers buying up cars and filling Prague streets, congestion has mounted dramatically. And when an accident on the set of "Joe" last week resulted in seven injured and five damaged vehicles, the news got big play on local terrestrial TV Nova and with the Czech Press Agency.
The shoot, involving a cab passing a school bus, was shot on a section of street near Prague's Hilton that had been closed off for filming, so regular traffic wasn't affected.
And such accidents are almost never caused by local production staffers, who drive considerably better than the Prague norm.
