Spyglass' Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman will produce with David McIlvain. Cirulnick will co-produce, and Spyglass' Adam Rosenberg will also be involved in a producing capacity.
Story follows a budding artist who moves from the Midwest to New York, finding an artistic outlet in the graffiti subculture. The film will take a "Saturday Night Fever"-like look at the growing trend of graffiti gangs that are once again marking up Gotham.
Nava is a prolific director of commercials and musicvideos, the latter of which includes Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and the Beyonce-Shakira duet "Beautiful Liar."
Cirulnick wrote "Vandals" as a spec script that Spyglass quickly turned into a greenlit project. He is also writing the Fox 2000 supernatural thriller "Stones" for director Ridley Scott and the New Regency drama "Elysium."
